I've got a house with a sturdy roof, delicious tap water, a nice contained fire, and the roaches are pretty chill.

And lastly, a whole lot of art based possessions, like red pens in 7 different shades.

Yesssssssssss.

People often love to chime the hate of math. It is mentally murderous and cruel. Though such claims are unsound. I find math to be quite fun and to be quite the affair even if I forget everything in a day.

Fellow visitor or watcher,
Who here loves or hates math? Any kind. Any reason. Just go ahead and type down below.

4 YEARS, and I've never gotten a badge before! :O
=-=
1.How long have you been on DeviantArt?
  • Four years--on and off
2.What does your username mean?
  • The username combo "Deranged-Dragon," shows my subtle love of alliteration. First, in order to make a satisfying username that would stand the test of time my most favorite component in the whole-wide world would have to be presented--
  • dragon. There is no creature more fitting to my tastes be it reality-based beast or fable. The raw power of a dangerous flying death machine fuming with the elemental force of fire is an authority this one can proudly follow!
  • Ahh, and the adjective "Deranged," was more of an endearing afterthought than anything--the descriptive word simply needed to start with a D, to of course, fit alliteration.
3.Describe yourself in three words.
  • Distracted from procrastination.
4.Are you left or right handed?
  • Right-handed, though means to become ambidextrous have been practiced.
5.What was your first deviation?
  • I'd say it's an edgy raven chilling in the enigmatic bliss of purple polka dots. Ugh, someone must pay for this humility besides me. :x
Da Attempt By Deranged Dragon by Hisscale
6.What is your favourite type of art to create?
  • Fanart through any medium--it helps to express my current interests at the time, as well as to bring in more like-minded peers to support my artistic endeavors.
7.If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
  • Sculpting and welding--anything that brings a 2-d image into a 3-d realm. Unfortunately, the environment and resources ascribed to me currently don't allow for much exploration in the field as of yet.
8.What was your first favourite?
  • Good question--though it's safe to say fanart relating to me. It was so kind and unexpected I was instilled with the passion to pass along the surprise on an occasion or so often.
  • I think it depicts my loooooooong-forgotten fursona? :? A wolf-dragon maybe? All the kiddies love wolves. :P
Doom Is Idk But Not Normal By Eliblazetheeevee by Hisscale
9.What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
  • Anything with dragons--or fanart from fandoms I subscribe too--or, a notably impressive work that strikes some emotion within me.
10.Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
  • No one--my tastes are constantly evolving and I can't say--
  • though, Piper Thibodeau of :iconcryptid-creations: updates daily and holds a pretty bit of professional diversity with a consistent style, which is a breath of fresh air to find on a site often cluttered with lackluster doodles.
11.If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
  • NO ONE--I'd fear I'd be killed, either through babyish envy or the person I'd admire might just end up a bit unhinged. :(
12.How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
  • Constructive criticism--be it a professional or amateur, feedback on any work is appreciated--notably, words from friends or long-standing acquaintances tend to be the highest booster for my often depraved creative motivations.
13.What are your preferred tools to create art?
  • A pen via tablet or paper--sometimes simplicity is best to improve skills on a linear level. My expectations as to what will appear into an image is less strict on a tablet since the creative resources are all but limited--while using a pen and accessories, getting things right the first time is a dominating expectation and the limit of my raw skills are forcibly presented.
14.What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
  • A fandom--preferably one that is the most current in activities and my individual interests. A newly found or rekindled interest in a fandom is a great way to connect with new people in the community by sharing pre-established interests--usually on a grand scale.
15.What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
  • Learning through tutorials--without many found on deviant art, it can be presumed that I simply would not have retained a strong of an interest in art as I do today. :)

========================

Read about the adventures of Zim, an inadequate alien invader set on conquering Earth. Along to help with the mission are goofy henchmen Gir and Mini Moose--critters who are reliable for a laugh. As a story plot, Zim's oddball plans are foiled by an equally as inadequate human child entitled Dib, who is instilled with an obsession to prove Zim's extraterrestrial presence--as well as to gain the respectful pride of his father Professor Membrane. Dib's sister, Gaz, provides a means of reality grounding for the audience and keeps conflicts abound as she pursues whatever course of action best suits her and story progression.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! THE ZIM-ZAM MAN IS BACK! PRAISE BE THE ONI PRESS AND WRETCHED NICK GODS!
As of yesterday, I was able to grace my optical orbs with the blessing of the first official issue of the brand new INVADER ZIM comic! It is an intriguing cult classic cartoon like no other--sadly cast aside in cancellation due to belong to an era far behind its time, proper.

--Disclosed below is a collection of my organized thoughts towards the media products at hand--spoiler free!
========================

Issue #1: It good? It GOOD!

"Sour Justice" is what meanders within the mind as old characters are embraced--those once animated, now flicked onto paper.
All the core cast members: Zim, Gir, Mini Moose, Dib, Gaz, and Professor Membrane return smoothly and flawlessly--all traits that made them whole have remained intact and a rush of nostalgia is sure to be delivered to past reading fans--with new ones being gently guided along into the new hysterical world.
-+-
Zim is just as screamy and obtuse in dialect as ever.
Gir is just as insane, inane, and innocent as remembered.
Mini Moose is there.
Dib, well, he is still an annoying yet heroic adolescent.
Gaz is steadfast in her happy hobby of video games,
And lastly, the Professor delivers a reserved "hands-off" approach yet present method of parenting.
-+-
A connection between events from the cartoon show and the future events to take place within the comic is firmly established, character introductions never feel forced and all contribute to the story conflict purposefully. Each panel held a proper use and nothing of a page felt wasted.
The team behind the comic shows off their professional skills brilliantly and no flaws present themselves.
A person a fan of the show and/or rancid childish dark humor will find this issue a must have to support!
However, it is recommended to visit the show before reading--or else one is inclined to be lost.

Truthshrieker #0: Comic Pre-Release Extra!

[--New Canon Alert---->The Swollen Eyeball Network gains rivals--the Truthshriekers!]

This is a mere collection of hypothetical situations and settings from the Invader Zim cartoon.
It is presented as a collage of magazine-like articles and advertisements that range from snort-fully humorous to bubblingly idiotic.
When one reads this, it must be done with an open-mind, along with previous knowledge of the show in order to become fully immersed.Throughout the pages, formats range from bland to mildly intriguing--yet few things pop out and create anything wholly memorable.
Without knowing the show--characters and references will not be recognized nor appreciated--first impressions will be diminished.
This complimentary comic issue is purely for the fans and if read by most, it will come off as a simple child friendly version of "The Onion," a parody news source outlet.
Overall, this addition of content can be summed up as only a bunch of supernatural concepts of the Invader Zim universe that offers little more. Jokes at times feel forced or repetitive---yet, when jokes are funny, it's lung-shatteringly so.
Very little is added to the show's canon and regretfully can be noted as a disappointment, for everything feels shallow and full of filler. Fortunately, the last ending pages are the best and leave a satisfying conclusion for the content enclosed.
The characters presented have little development--only having events revisited/reconfirmed as direct references from the show.
It is a must have for all Invader Zim fans, but little is provided to sate appetites for major innovations.

Regardless, the Truthshrieker #0--exclusive to the Oni Press store, strives to be fan-content for fans and serves as a pleasant reminder of the social culture of the Invader Zim universe. It gains a recommendation, but is in no way necessary to read alongside the Invader Zim comic. Keep in mind it is a novelty--it simply did not hold my attention.

Do you like cartoons and are at a lost as to what show to dive into? Here is a list of the best ongoing cartoon shows that I truly believe are worth watching and are deserving of all the attention possible, least the great shows end prematurely.
(Shows are in NO particular order-all are amazing.)

====

-Wander Over Yonder: Humor consists of slapstick and creatively timed dialogue. Both the villains and heroes have diverse characters that can work off each other or stand alone--writing is solid and great for any age.

Premise:

Protagonists are a pair of aliens: an aggressive, protecting, and caring dinosaur/horse species call a "Zbornak" named Silvia--and Wander, an orange friendly "Star Nomad" who looks like a possible blood relation to the Cookie Monster.
Together Wander and Silvia travel the galaxy in episodes where new planets/locations are visited and explored.

The main conflict offered would be in the antagonists Lord Hater, a magical undead skeleton man, Lord Awesome, a muscle bound dancing shark man, and the Watch Dogs, soldiers with giant eyes for heads--it's sure to be a colorful experience that amuses.

Flaws?:
Wander is often seen as a "comic-reief " character, something that rarely stands as a proper protagonist. The first few episodes highlight Wander as annoying, something to only appeal to children, but in later episodes, Wander shows development by instead becoming an optimistic, cunning, naive, and well-meaning individual who fights evil simply with kindness--overall a very likable and relate-able character.

==

-The Amazing World of Gumball: Reworks tired tv tropes into new crazy and fun comedic twists that both adults and children can wholly enjoy.

Premise: A blue cat, Gumball Waterson, and his adopted goldfish brother Darwin go on various adventures sometimes expected of children and sometimes not.

Flaws?:  Episode start and end are usually very predictable in outlined expectations. Various usage of different character animations can be jarring.

==

-Gravity Falls: Creates a charming overarching story that slowly develops and/or resolves with each episode. Every main character that is introduced has solid development and an exciting season 2 is still airing new episodes.

Premise: Twins Dipper and Mabel Pines go to spend their summer vacation at their Uncle Stan's Mystery Shack, a tourist trap that at times, foreshadows a much more sinister force.

Nitpicks?: Must decode puzzles to get the full deep story, which may be an annoyance to some.

==

-Steven Universe: Is commonly noted as having the best written children with a bubbly charm and serious undertone that blends together to deliver memorable tangible characters.

Premise: The Crystal Gems, three immortal warriors and a child, Steven, form a formidable team to fight corrupted versions of gems while managing life in a small beach-side town that offers plenty of plot.

Nitpicks?: Episodes focus more on character relationship building more so than action, which may alienate a select some.

==
-Clarence: Can be described as a less mature and focused Steven Universe, serving up wonderfully written children characters with a side of happy illogical wit and shenanigans a plenty.

Premise: An overly optimistic boy named Clarence and his two friends, polar opposites, Jeff and Sumo, making up a lovely diverse trio who explore everyday relatable wonders through the insane and sometimes stupid view point children--fun times!

Flaws?:  Settings for episodes remain grounded in reality leaving little room for magical nonsense happenings and traits of characters can be over emphasized--limiting growth/change in general.

==

-Adventure Time: Plots, conflicts, and conclusions all are over the place, yet remains stable enough to tell plenty of fun competent stories.

Premise: Finn the Huge and Jake the Dog explore a surreal, trippy, and an all-time intriguing world full of death and rainbows.

Nitpicks?: Already has an established following and a large episode list may be intimidating to get into.

==

-My Little Pony: A once exclusive "little girl" show that now appeals to all audiences and ages.
Premise: Six ponies-(including unicorns and pegasi) whom live in the not so peaceful town of Ponyville face slice of life issues while confronting various mystical beasts that threaten to kill them.

Nitpicks?: Already has an established following and may be a bit overwhelming at first.

==

-Regular Show: A bromance that feels real and offers entertainment on both a mature and immature scale.

Premise: Mordecai and Rigby, an anthropomorphic blue jay and raccoon? face slice of life issues in accordance to supernatural beings--a mix bag of oddities and young people issues.

Nitpicks?: Focuses on consequences when responsibilities are shrinked--not addressed, but can become a tired plot element at times.

It's odd this feeling, being free. I've finally finished up with my school finals, albiet, a well earned walk of shame may have transpired,yet now the happy treat of Summer vacation is upon me.
What shall I do? Hmmm...oh yes, how about art~! Like every Summer since my arrival on the DA scene I've planned to simply improve upon my art--this Summer however, I also want to go about completing some of my unfinished projects such as my Pokemon Dex, as well as some comic and animation storyboards from various fandoms.

In order to hold a celebration, let me remind the public that I am continuing to work on art trades and commissions.
Time may have been against me before, but now I tend to take advantage of the few precious morsels tossed my way.
Anyway, in addition, Don't Starve video game fans will be pleased to hear that I am currently taking DS REQUESTS~!

Well, thank you for your time and additional info in regards to obtaining art from me can be found...

Considering how it's the beginning of May and no longer April, I have been taken with the fact that a journal update should be done more frequently then it has in the past. Oh yes, the main trouble my little inane life faces daily is school. Not my poor job, not my stagnate hobby, not my social-life, nor my incompetent family can draw such ire and liquor of rank than "school."

My god, I'd like to think that reason would be something I would be able to draw over my emotions--that logic would be the true commander--no, I hate school. The education system from what I have seen in America is turning into nothing but a corporation and finding a way to survive the constant demand for $ and unquestioned attention I driving my young mind up a wall...with nails.

I took the ACT and SAT tests from the money-fiend "The College Board."recently--if you don't know, a proper score from those tests is required to find adequate scholarships, colleges, and whatnot. What I hate about such tests like the ACT is that a student's time management is tested over actual knowledge of a topic. I'm fairly sure I could have gotten almost all the problems correct if only granted enough time--it's just depressing.

I'm young and I'm learning how to live life--as predicted, it's not a walk in the park. It's more of a, say, run up a steep mountain with a bear slowly teetering behind, serving as a constant reminder that things can quickly go down hill.

I'm very lucky considering I have a computer and the time to enjoy it.
I wish to give back to the world as thanks for said luck.
Just, how?

Is there anyone out there that has or is currently attending a college? Big, small, it doesn't not matter--I just want to ask for basic pieces of advice. I might as well considering a journal was just written around said troubles of mine, yes?

So, college, money, life tips? Feel free to state whatever you will. Thanks.

Whoo, I tend to not update very frequently, but I suppose it's most proper--after all, I don't want to spam my beloved watchers, yes? Remember, when it comes to writing, I like quality over quantity--I'm not sure my art follows that philosophy, however...hmmm.

Anyway, to those of you that celebrate Easter and have a mite of interesting--my was sweet, satisfying, and simple--I got dark chocolate (my fave) and painted hard-boiled eggs---life is good.

School is stressing me out and millions other like myself--I remain content, however--mainly because my brain refuses to accept failure and resorts to simply a lesser victory...

Oh, and in addition, any "Don't Starve" video game fans out there? I heard it's the game's anniversary today and I posted a bunch of old sketches I found in a closet relating to it---as a celebration of course~!

Well, I suppose that is all--remember, ART TRADES & COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN-! ("Don't Starve" requests are also now available!)

*sigh* After many trying trials, I have come to the realization I have little patience for the "pen" tool mainly utilized for smooth and neat outlines. My ideas and creative hands always blow up a drawing into intimidating proportions were outlining can be a nightmare. My style currently consists of messy line scribbles and sketches that get quick results, but the sweet professional satisfaction is always lost--quantity over quality.

The majority of my submitted drawings are going to be presented in a digital format with cleaner lines and will be smaller than previous 2000x1000 works.

Wish me luck~! I have an old, shoddy list of ideas that's finally going to get me off my lazy tooshie.

Stupid stoopid stewpid SOPA strikes and once again threatens the integrity of the Internet.
If you do not know what SOPA is I urge you to get informed at once! SOPA is a bill that will be passed in the USA which will allow the banning and blocking of copyrighted material from any persons or site-hosters the content does not belong to---meaning---
every piece of FANART/FANFIC/FANWORKS ETC. and Movies, Pictures, Music, Games, and Comments of any sorts that so much as reference copyrighted material will put the commenter AND the site-OWNER at risk of being closed down! Sound excessive?--because it is!

If you appreciate your freedom to draw or view anything you please, SIGN the petition: petitions.whitehouse.gov/petit…

A starling amount of votes are still needed and we have until March, 19th to get enough!!!
Please, even if you do not reside in the USA, such blockage of the Internet is likely to spread to other countries. The USA is large and has a big influence on the world, whether it is wanted or not. Please, do your part! Please, don't think others will vote for you--we need every vote now that the due date is sooo, close!!!

OH GOODNESS!!! I'd like to immediately apologize to any individuals I may have had any sort of business with. I left for almost a whole year without warning and the unfortunately, I have little to no excuse. The notebook in which I was drawing the comics and Pokemon for my "Gotta Draw Em' All"  and "JtHM/MLP crossover" projects got ruined and I simply lost the motivation to post art more frequently after such an event--plus, excessive family matters and general life served as pressing distractions.

All my current projects aren't to be abandoned and will be resurrected as soon as possible. Plenty of new ones are in the works and on the way, as well.

Again, I wish to apologize to all of my watchers, friends, and fellow commenters/chatters. I came back to 100+ messages--I will do my best to answer them in a timely and proper manner.
It was uncouth of me to simply abandoned my post and I wish it to never happen again. Oh, and happy 2014 everybody~!

It seemed time for a fresh journal, if only to reassure the internet of my existence.
They say that around 30 million Facebook accounts belong to dead people, neat!

On another note, I am currently undergoing a challenge where I will aim to draw every single Pokemon thus far. I plan to do them in order using traditional methods. Anyway, I feel this will help me grow as an artist, yet giving me a concise  and open ended assignment to fulfill.
